Tsubakikan is a traditional style Japanese inn. It is situated in Asamushi - an area renowned for its onsens (hot springs) and beauty of surrounding sea and mountains, is less than 30 minutes from Aomori city center. It is an ideal location from which to explore the scenic beauty and cultural wonders of the whole of Aomori prefecture.
Tsubakikan has its own onsen complete with rotenburo (outside open air hot tub)
The hot spring is open to guests from check in to 9am the following morning.
【Tsubakikan History】
Tsubakikan is a family run Japanese inn. It was established over 400 years ago by Iuemon Ebina and has been run by the Ebina family ever since. The current owners are Mr. Kouichi Ebina and his wife Mrs. Atsuko Ebina (18th generation). |
【Rooms】
Tsubakikan has 26 rooms.
All rooms are Japanese style with private toilet, safety box, refrigerator, television, telephone, air conditioning and tea set (some rooms also have a bathroom suite). Towels, yukatas (cotton robes) and toothbrushes are provided in your room for use in the hot spring. Shampoo, body soap, hair dryer and hairbrush are provided at public bath.
【Meals】
Breakfast and dinner are Japanese style. However, if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know in advance. Alternatively if there is a particular Japanese food that you would like to try during your stay with us please ask in advance and we will try to oblige. |

The price per person varies according to the room type, number of people sharing the room and the season. The price includes breakfast and dinner as well as unlimited use of the hotel’s hot spring. |

【Access】
Tsubakikan is in Asamushi a quaint and old onsen area of Aomori City. It is just 24km from central Aomori City- home of the famous Nebuta festival. (August 2nd-7th)
Asamushi is easily accessible by road as well as by train. For guests arriving by train Tsubakikan operates a pick up service from JR Asamushi Train Station. (We can also assist with rail information and help you plan your journey to us.)

【“Japanese Experience”】
If you have any interest in experiencing different aspects of Japanese culture or local attractions during your stay please let us know in advance and we will do our best to try to accommodate your wishes.
(The price varies with type of activity, number of people participating and duration of the activity).

【Use of Tsubakikan facilities as a day visitor】
It is possible to use Tsubakikan facilities as a day visitor (from 11:00-15:00). This price includes the use of hot spring, lunch and use of a room.
