well今回は嬉しいニュースが舞い込んできました。
といっても、関係者の皆様にとっては「やっとか！」というのも本音かもしれません。
世界遺産に登録されるには、文化庁の「日本の暫定一覧表記載遺産」に登録される必要があるそうですが、北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群が登録されたのは平成21年（2009年）今から、12年も前のことでした。
この度、関係者の方々の熱い想いと、その価値が認められて、ようやくではありますが、大きな大きな一歩を前進したということになります。
ご存じない方も多いかと思いますが、青森県には沢山の縄文遺跡があります。
その中でも、青森市内にある「Sanuchi Maruyama Ruins」は、日本最大級の縄文集落跡として今回の世界遺産のシンボル的な存在になるのではないでしょうか。

約15,000年前に日本列島に誕生し、1万年以上続いた縄文文化。土器を生み、自然とともに生きた世界に誇る独自の文化を今に伝える縄文遺跡群には、古のロマンがあります。
子供のころ歴史の授業で「世界4大文明」というのを習った記憶のある方も多いのではないでしょうか？ しかし、ほぼ同時期に青森県に約1500年間に渡り集落として定住した痕跡が三内丸山遺跡にあります。
北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群の世界遺産登録は、世界の歴史を変えるような出来事になるかもしれません。皆様も、是非一度（いや、もう一度でも）三内丸山遺跡を訪れてみてはいかがでしょうか？
